Explain the transaction instead of its label alone
Keep the original source and identify the account, date, and stated purpose relevant to the question. An owner-related transfer and an income or expense entry may require different facts to be examined. A bank description should not be treated as a complete tax classification. Record what is known and what supporting explanation is still needed.
Preserve relationships without merging entries
If records from personal and business accounts relate to the same movement of funds, keep their sources distinguishable. Note the connection so the review can identify duplicate or period questions. Do not silently replace an unclear item with another amount to make a working total balance. Estimates or uncertain purposes should remain visibly unresolved until relevant evidence addresses them.
Connect the question to the debt task
State which return, notice, or account issue makes the transaction relevant. Ask what the proposed service would examine and which records are needed privately. Actual circumstances and applicable rules determine treatment; an organization worksheet cannot decide it. Keep the review responsibility and any later preparation or submission separately understood so a factual transaction question has a defined purpose.
